Last evening I went for a run but Iceland simply hindered it. I cannot call my act running as I had to stop time to time to watch or take a photo of the spectacular view. No, I wasn’t at a special location, I simply went down to the bay 5 minutes from my flat. This place is simply unbelievable.
As I wrote: took a photo. But I did not use a tripod, I did not used a professional camera, I just pushed the button on my iPhone. Is there any differnce between a simple snapshot and a photo? I certainly beleive there is. My photos have no artistic value, they are “only” memories for me. Yes, they mean a lot for me but they are not made for being hanged on someone else’s living room wall. This is the real photographers’s job: take a photo, catch a moment and evoke emotions in everyone watching the photo. That is what I call talent.
